In 1936, the Sears Roebuck Company commemorated their 50th Anniversary in business. Sears contracted Harmony to produce a limited edition lap steel guitar called the “Golden Jubilee”.
This model was made for only one year and was sold only through the 1936 Sears Roebuck mail order catalog.
The Golden Jubilee has an entirely cast aluminum body with super off the chart art deco appointments.
The headstock faceplate features a stylized “h” for Harmony, and fern leaf decorative flourishes. The magnetic pickup is from the early pioneering days of guitar electronics.
