At its April, 2020, board meeting, the HIMELE Board elected Nate Goore to be a member of HIMELE's Board of Directors. He will fill the remaining term of the directorship vacated by retiring director Don Touchi.
Nate oversees the Honolulu office of MKThink, an architectural design, strategy, and analytics firm. He works closely with the University of Hawai‘i and the Hawai‘i Department of Education to develop lasting solutions that improve the quality of research and learning environments for Hawai‘i's students. He brings to HIMELE his extensive experience in strategic planning coupled with his interest in music.
"The steel guitar is the voice of Hawaiian music," says Nate. "I'm proud to be part of HIMELE's work to promote this wonderful instrument and expand its popularity with the younger generations."
