The Epiphone Electar Century is a stylish icon of futuristic lap steel guitar design.
The "teardrop" rocket body shape features a rounded bottom edge and is finished in gloss black. It is highlighted with a metal fingerboard displaying a variety of bowtie fret markers!
The body is made from a solid piece of mahogany wood, and the early single coil magnetic pickup design features a blade magnet. The "circus tent" volume and tone control knobs are on opposite sides, and the hand rest pickup cover is painted crinkle black.
This lap steel is so cool that a modern replica of it is produced and sold today!
