Showcase Livestream Adds YouTube Channel

The Hawaiian Steel Guitar Showcase has launched its YouTube channel. The channel is now live and accessible at youtube.com/channel/UCdy5-sXeVpepvOhHVuS6Phg. An alternate way to get to the channel is via Tinyurl.com/steelshowcase.
The YouTube channel will be used where possible to livestream Showcase events concurrently with the Facebook livestream. Previous livestream broadcasts are also archived on the YouTube channel and are available for viewing there and from the Facebook video archive.
The March Open Stage Showcase video has been uploaded to the YouTube channel and is available for viewing. All previous showcases have also been uploaded to the Showcase channel.
HIMELE, the Showcase's producer, added the YouTube channel as a second livestream option after experiencing Facebook-related broadcast issues with the March Open Stage Showcase. Future showcases will be livestreamed concurrently on the Showcase's Facebook page and on the Showcase's YouTube channel, where possible. Links to available livestream sources will be published in real time on the Showcase's website.
Showcases were created as an alternative to live steel guitar festivals which remain canceled due to COVID-19. Live festivals will resume when large assembly restrictions are relaxed.
