Bose S1 Pro Feature

The Bose® S1 Pro System

June 2, 2021 • Steve CheneyEquipment

I just bought what I have been looking for, for a long time.

A system that is portable with a rechargeable battery or direct AC plug in. A system that has plenty of volume. A system that's portable and not heavy. And a system that produces a really great sound both for Steel Guitar and vocals.

Meet the Bose® S1 Pro System.

Bose S1 Pro

It's a Bluetooth® speaker, a PA system, and just what you need for all those times that deserve better sound. You can stream wirelessly from a mobile device, plug in a microphone or use it with your favorite instrument - in my case it's the steel guitar.

The Pro weighs in at less than 16 lbs. The Pro includes an onboard 3-channel mixer that offers independent ToneMatch, reverb and EQ controls on two channels, with a dedicated channel for either wired (3.5 mm) or wireless music sources. The unit is also speaker-stand compatible and can be used with standard 35mm mounting poles.

The rechargeable lithium-ion battery can give up to 11 hours of playtime, and it's excellent for a 5-6 hour gig. The unit includes two combination XLR-¼ inch input jacks, a 35mm jack, and is Bluetooth-capable. The unit also has a ¼ inch TRS line output.

Coupled with a Shure SM58S microphone, I can now play most anywhere, even without electricity, and sound great.
